Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong has finally come out to talk about the Aug. 15 suicide of her husband Russell Armstrong. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which aired last night, Taylor opens up about the way she helped her daughter cope with Russell's death and reveals the extent of the abuse she dealt with at the hands of her 47-year-old husband.
"As I was laying in the street screaming, I realized that my little girl (5-year-old daughter Kennedy) was there. And I had to pull it together to get her out of there," Taylor, 40, recalls of the night she learned about Russell's death. "I just told her that daddy got sick and he died."
So that Kennedy, who had a close relationship with Russell, wouldn't feel like she'd be without him forever, Taylor told her daughter that "we could pick a star in the sky and it could be daddy, and that she could talk to him every night."
Along with the interview, ET revealed some shocking photos of Armstrong lying in a hospital bed with a brutally beaten black eye. The reality TV star says that Russell punched her in the right eye so hard that she was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles and had to have plastic surgery to repair it.
In a statement to ABCNews.com, Russell's lawyer, Ronald Richard, denies this. He says that Taylor did not file a police or medical report indicating she was the victim of domestic violence, and argues that there isn't any proof that the injury seen in the photos -- which Armstrong sold to ET -- was the result of abuse inflicted by Russell.
During the interview, Armstrong broke down into tears when discussing the way Russell -- who had previously admitted to heated verbal and physical altercations with his wife -- hurt and threatened her.
"He grabbed me by the neck and shoved me up against the wall and he said, 'If you ever make my children a pizza without a vegetable again, I'll kill you.'" she says. "He would grab me by one side of the hair on my head and bang the other side of my head against the car. He would say to me, 'I'm afraid I'm going to kill you one day.'"
It is still unclear how much of this the second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will depict. The show premiered on Bravo as planned on Sept. 5, and has been re-edited in response to Russell's death -- though it hasn't completely shied away from depicting the Armstrongs' marital discord. Just how much of their crumbling relationship makes it on the air remains to be seen.

Offering up a glimpse of the sketch comedy show's upcoming episode, "Saturday Night Live" has released a promo for the 37th season premiere airing on September 24th.
Alec Baldwin is set to host the long-running program for a staggering 16th time while joined by musical act Radiohead.
Leading up to the season premiere airing, Alec was asked if his 1994 comment about being able to run the ship with his eyes closed still holds true, to which he replied, "'SNL' and I are like a well-oiled machine. I find the one issue is to save your energy. It's an intense week of prep. By Saturday night at 11:30 (Eastern) I want to say, 'Can I just lie down and you can start without me?' But they throw cold water on me and slap me across the face."
Also questioned on whether he thinks the "on-your-toes" aspect of "SNL" has been good training for his political aspirations, the 53-year-old answered, "On a serious note, that's something I've always thought about doing. ? When you do a show everybody likes, when it's successful critically, it's almost like everyone forgets everything else that you do. A lot of what's done on "30 Rock" and "SNL" is silly and vulgar and outrageous. When you go into public office, you've got to say to yourself, and to the public: now begins the period where what I say is on the record as a public official as opposed to a public figure. When you get paid from taxpayers and you have your finger on a budget that is taxpayer money, there's a different responsibility than what I do now. If I were to get in politics, I always envision people replaying scenes in an attempt to characterize me and insubstantiate me. You have to kind of scrub all that off you and present yourself with a fresh coat of paint."

Lindsay Lohan's bad behavior has gotten her in trouble again, this time at New York Fashion Week. The starlet put together quite the impressive showing (in a bad way) at the weeklong fashion extravaganza in in N.Y.C. On Wednesday night, she allegedly hurled a glass at V photographer Jasper Richsen (though she missed and hit a waitress) at the Standard Hotel's Boom Boom Room. And on Thursday night, Lohan got kicked out of a Marc Jacobs party at The Gallery at The Dream Hotel Downtown.
Attendees of the party told Page Six that Lohan and a friend were denied entry to the exclusive event -- likely because of Lindsay's shenanigans the previous night at the Boom Boom Room. Apparently unfazed by event organizers telling her that "it's not going to happen," Lohan had Dream Hotel owner Vikram Chatwal walk her into the party -- but even that wasn't enough to gain Lindsay a spot at the soiree; security guards immediately came by and asked her to leave.
LiLo eventually did vacate the premises and, in an interesting move, headed back over to the Boom Boom Room -- where she was, quite surprisingly, allowed in. It's double surprising that Lohan hadn't been black-listed from the bar seeing as glass-throwing was just the tip of the iceberg for Lindsay on Wednesday night. According to New York magazine, Lohan continued on her violent tear that night by "sucker-punching a seemingly innocent bystander as she walked past."
It's not the first time Lohan has been known to have spontaneous violent behavior when out on the town. In April 2010, LiLo threw a drink in the face of former girlfriend Samantha Ronson when they were both at the club Trousdale in West Hollywood, Calif. At the time, Ronson was said to have responded to Lohan's behavior by saying, "I don't know... she's an angry human being."

Heading straight back to the east coast after supporting their brother Robert during his "Dancing with the Stars" debut, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were both spotted tending to separate agendas around New York City on Tuesday afternoon (September 20).
Out on a solo adventure, Kim looked classy cute in a white and black patterned long sleeved blouse with black wide legged pants as she exited her temporary Big Apple abode before returning back to the hotel to change outfits and step out with hubby Kris Humphries.
Meanwhile, sister Kourtney was alongside her babydaddy beau, Scott Disick, with the couple visiting an interior design studio while also grabbing a late lunch at Bar Pitti in Greenwich Village.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the Kardashian ladies have been spending the past few weeks in NYC as they compile material for the second season of their spinoff show, "Kourtney & Kim Take New York".

It was s such an honor to be the face of Gorgeous - I mean, the bra is so gorgeous itself... I've had a lot of fun today, and I'm just so, so happy.?

As Dancing With the Stars' first transgendered contestant, Chaz Bono has been the subject of remarkably hateful criticism by certain viewers and groups.
Chaz's debut on Monday's Dancing With the Stars premiere wasn't notable for his cha cha skills - dude's not exactly light on his feet - but for his charisma.
His 17 points actually beat four other people, too, including NBA star Metta World Peace. Watch Chaz and Lacey Schwimmer earn a standing ovation:
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer - Cha Cha (DWTS Week 1)
Not only did Chaz Bono look like he was having the time of his life, he seemed confident, despite all the controversy and virtually no dance experience.
Those factors, boosted by sufficiently low expectations for the dance itself, garnered him widespread praise from the judges, even crotchety Len.
"You really came out with the right attitude. You came out to enjoy yourself, and that's what I felt you did. You're so joyous out here," Goodman said.
"Great debut, Chaz. You should be proud." Indeed.
What do you think of Chaz going on DWTS?

One minute, Jessica Simpson was engaged, and then the next -- nothing. In the 10 months since football player Eric Johnson popped the question to Simpson, Kim Kardashian managed to get engaged, plan a wedding and get married. So what's the hold-up with Jessica's nuptials? According to OK!, it's not cold feet -- it's indecisiveness.
"Jessica just can't seem to make up her mind about the dress, the location the food, you name it," says a friend. "The wedding will go from 50 people one day to 300 the next. It's as if she's planning five different weddings at once!"
Hey, she's a celebrity -- she can have three different weddings if she wants to! But according to the magazine, Simpson, 31, and fiancé Johnson, 32, had already planned for a Labor Day wedding at an exotic location. Now that the intended wedding date is passed, it's reportedly starting to cause tension between the couple.
"It's starting to affect her relationship with Eric," a source tells the magazine. "He's a great guy who really loves her, but right now Jessica's friends are worried that she may end up single again if she's not able to make up her mind."
The other insider, however, insists there's no cause to worry: "The wedding isn't off. It's just on hold while Jessica sorts out some of the details."
Whatever the wedding situation, the couple certainly appears happy: In the past week, paparazzi snapped them going to dinner (with Simpson's BFF Cacee Cobb and new fiancé Donald Faison) and walking Johnson's dog together. Since they were engaged after only six months of dating, is it possible that they're just taking things slow?

Sinead O'Connor has become one of the most unfiltered celebrities on Twitter -- and that may not always be a good thing. Last week, the 44-year-old "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer shocked her followers by writing openly about wanting to kill herself. She has spent the following days attempting to explain her suicidal thoughts, and why she doesn't regret airing them to the entire world.
O'Connor, who was divorced from her third husband in March, recently gained attention (and Twitter followers!) from her semi-obscene tweets about her sexual desires. But last Wednesday, her Twitter feed took a surprisingly dark turn.
"Had to go psychiatrist for routine renew prescription etc. She says I'm a bad mum and mental for talking so openly about sex in public," wrote the Irish musician. "So now I wish suicide wud kill me," she added -- and she was just getting started.
"I f***ing hate Ireland so much," she continued. "All this s*** we're not supposed to say. Including suicidal feelings, sex, etc. U just get treated like a crazy person. I want to go to heaven SO bad. Have for yrs. But I don't wanna abandon my kids. But if I cud die without them knowing I did it myself I wud."
The mother of four continued by saying that she wrote her wildly sexual tweets to cheer herself up from post-divorce depression, and it worked until a visit with the psychiatrist made her feel horribly guilty. She even begged her Twitter followers to tell her how she could kill herself without her kids finding out she did it deliberately.
Understandably, people were very worried, even sending the police to her home. But on Thursday, O'Connor apologized for "getting so upset" and assured everyone that she was "fine" and "well" after finding a new doctor.
In an editorial for Sunday's Irish Independent, O'Connor wrote that she had no regrets about her "cry for help."
"There is no shame in feeling suicidal. Nor in anyone knowing that that wave passes over you sometimes," says the singer. "No one should be judged badly for however it is they choose to make their cry for help.
"I am not at all sorry that I wrote what I did on Twitter. It was a cry for help and help was received. So it was worth it. I have no shame around the fact that I can be shot into suicidal feelings by certain people's treatment of me. I am no different to any other person, I therefore act as I believe any other person should be free to."
Basically, it sounds like airing her suicidal thoughts was therapeutic for O'Connor. But does that make up for all the fans who were worried sick, thinking they were watching helplessly as she debated ending her life? It's one of those thorny questions that didn't exist before Twitter. At least things have returned to normal for O'Connor's followers: She's back to cheerfully tweeting about her sex life.

Go see Captain America this weekend! Support our Colin!
I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:
(Sit down, stop jumping around, it's an awesome picture, I know. And the quality is amazing. It's not grainy or reddish... it's perfect.) (No, it's not.)
(And you can totally see the Captain America logo on the side of the glasses.) (No, you can't.)
Anyway, Captain America is pulling a strong 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now so GO SEE IT! IT'S FANTASTIC!

Mad Men star January Jones gave birth to a baby boy named Xander Dane on Tuesday, and her costar Elisabeth Moss has come out in strong support, telling Us Weekly, "I think she's going to be a great mom."
Jones, 33, who has been romantically linked with Jason Sudeikis and Josh Groban in the past, has not revealed the identity of the father. Rumors circulated that Matthew Vaughn, the director of this summer's superhero blockbuster X-Men: First Class, in which Jones played icy villain Emma Frost, was the father -- but Vaughn, who's married to model Claudia Schiffer, categorically denies the rumors. For her part, Jones hasn't given out any hints.
Jones' reputation as an actress has taken a bit of a beating in the last couple of months. She was categorically panned for her role in X-Men, and Jared Gilmore, the 11-year-old who plays her son on Mad Men, made some not-so-nice comments about his TV mom last month. "Be careful around January (Jones)," he told TV Guide. "She's not as approachable as the others... Everyone else is so nice."
Mad Men costar John Slattery immediately came to her defense, calling Jones a "sweetheart" -- and that's a sentiment Moss and the show's other cast members seem to share.
"She's a very caring and protective person, and I think she's going to fit in very well with motherhood," Moss, 29, tells Us. "We're all so proud of her and happy for her and she's doing really well. We're all really excited to meet the baby."

If you're wondering how Simon Cowell's new talent competition The X Factor will stack up against American Idol, here's a preview that delivers the goods! Watch below as Simon, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid talk about the show -- and audition some incredible new talents.
The most obvious difference between the X Factor and Idol is that the talent pool is bigger: singers of any age, and even singing groups, are invited to audition. The two amazing singers highlighted in the above trailer -- sassy eighth grade powerhouse Rachel (who wants the prize money because "I need my own bathroom") and earnest 42-year-old single mom Stacey -- are both contestants who wouldn't be eligible for Idol. If X Factor brings out more like them, then we're all in for a treat.
But judging from the trailer, we suspect there's something else that sets this new contender apart from Idol: attitude. It feels like forever since we've seen Simon unleash his wicked barbs, and after all that sweet encouragement from the new Idol and The Voice judges, there's something refreshing about hearing a judge flat-out say, "I am hating this."
Paula also seems to have developed a bit of an edge, and L.A. Reid -- the judge who reveals that he walked away from his high-powered music industry job to do the show -- doesn't seem to be pulling any punches. We expect that Pussycat Doll Scherzinger -- a talent show veteran who was discovered on the WB's Popstars and later won Dancing with the Stars -- will be the encouraging cheerleader this time around, but maybe she'll surprise us, too.
Will audiences tune in for yet another FOX singing competition? As Simon says in the trailer, "The whole thing's a gamble." So, will you be rolling the dice on The X Factor?

Long before Jennifer Aniston was on Friends and even longer before Chaz Bono was, well, Chaz Bono, they were just two teens with a dream attending New York's famed Laguardia High School of Performing Arts (you know, the one that Fame is based on).
Photographed in the school's locker room in June 1987 (they sure are rockin' that '80s hair!), Aniston and a pre-female-to-male-transition Chastity Bono were actually pretty tight back in those days -- though they've since lost touch.
"Every day a group of us would go to Chaz's house after school," Aniston, 42, revealed in an interview with Allure in January. "I haven't spoken to him in awhile."
And while Aniston said that Chaz's 2009 sexual reassignment surgery was confusing to her -- she fumbled with her pronouns a bit -- she's nothing but supportive of her high-school pal. "Well, obviously, yeah. I mean, (it's confusing) even for his -- her -- mother, I think. His mother," Aniston said. "But, you know, good for her."
Bono's mother would be the legendary singer-actress Cher, who defended Chaz, also 42, when his appointment to the season 13 cast of Dancing with the Stars caused fans to threaten to boycott the show.
Thankfully, things have cooled off on that front recently, and Chaz is likely to have plenty of fans in his corner when the new season of Dancing with the Stars kicks off on Sept. 19.

With just a few days left until her new album sees release, Demi Lovato has offered up a heartfelt video for her loyal fans' viewing pleasure.
The 19-year-old "Camp Rock" alum's YouTube posting gives a behind the scenes look at her ALMA Awards preparations including a snippet of a new song titled "Fix a Heart" while also seeing her talk about turning her life around and embracing a fresh start.
Accompanying the video link tweet, Miss Lovato wrote, "Check out this amazing video!!! It is really sentimental to me and I wanted to share it with all of you:)"
The video letter to her fans comes just as Demi's performance at the ALMA Awards aired on NBC - as she took the stage during the pre-taped special for a stirring bi-lingual rendition of her hit single "Skyscraper".
Offering up a kind tweet of support while encouraging people to tune in to see Demi in action, ALMA host Eva Longoria posted, "See the most amazing performance by @ddlovato tonight on the #AlmaAwards at 8/7c on NBC! Performing Skyscraper half in Spanish!"
Smitten over the supportive message, Lovato graciously wrote in return, "@EvaLongoria aww eva thank you!! Love you SO much.. Hope to see you again soon!!"

Eden Wood of Toddlers & Tiaras fame is mercifully retired at age SIX.
Still, the aspiring actress is far from done with showbiz, and does not hesitate to make her feelings about some of Hollywood's current stars known.
Asked who her favorite singer was in a gripping interview with E!, Eden answered "Selena Gomez" without hestation. "She is so pretty. I want to be her."
Don't even get her STARTED on that Bieber kid though.
"I would punch him," she said of the Bieb. "He's just stupid!"
Think Beliebers would send death threats to a six-year-old?
She also doesn't care for Miley Cyrus. When asked if she was a fan of the "Party in the USA" singer, Eden Wood replied: "No, she smoked a bong!"
LOL, that she did.
The pintsize performer danced, modeled and sang in a Toddler Fashion Week show (gag) in NYC, but wants to "do music" instead from now on. Phew.

A pharmacist who testified he shipped massive amounts of Propofol to Dr. Conrad Murray in the weeks leading to Michael Jackson's death is now ... gone.
Vanished, disappeared, off the grid without a trace.
While there is no sign of illegal activity, and there's certainly a good case to be made against Murray without him, it's a bizarre situation just the same.
According to prosecutors, Tim Lopez, a former pharmacist at Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas, mysteriously moved to Thailand and can't be found.
Prosecutors now want a judge to let them use Lopez' previous testimony from the preliminary hearing in January, but it's unclear if that will be permitted.
During his testimony, Lopez claimed Dr. Conrad Murray ordered large quantities of Propofol, beginning on April 6, 2009. MJ died June 25 of that year.
That would certainly connect the doc to the anesthetic that killed Michael, although the precise degree of Lopez's importance isn't easy to quantify.

I'm here! I'm here! And I saw my first gang-banger get arrested yesterday so I feel like a total Angeleno.
I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)
And bumpers! (They don't bump off anything... they go, "Scraaaaaaaatch!")
And there's probably more but, again, I have to go because I have to get to the gym!

Henry Winkler is an actor, director, producer, writer and now... a royal? Well, not exactly, but the iconic Happy Days star has been recognized by Queen Elizabeth II with a royal title that adds some exclusive letters to his name: OBE.
The 65-year-old activist is now officially an Honorary Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). Sir Nigel Sheinwald, the British Ambassador to the United States, presented Winkler with the award at a ceremony held Sept. 14 in Washington, D.C., E! News reports.
The Queen bestowed the award and accompanying title upon Winkler in recognition for his ongoing charitable work on behalf of children with disabilities. Winkler, who was diagnosed with dyslexia at age 31, has dedicated himself to the cause, even writing a series of children's books about Hank Zipper, an elementary schooler with dyslexia.
"Improving the lives of children is one of the highest acts of good one can pursue, and Mr. Winkler has certainly done that," Ambassador Sheinweld said during the ceremony. "Through him, thousands of young people have seen a role model and an inspiration for overcoming their learning difficulties. Henry Winkler is living proof that difficulties can be overcome and that for those suffering challenges and self-doubt, happy days can nevertheless lie ahead."
Now here's a scenario deserving of Fonz's trademark "Whoa"!

A mainstay atop the movie world over the past month, "The Help" once again snatched up the top spot at the box office during Labor Day weekend of September 2-5, 2011.
The Emma Stone starring book-based picture, which has been perched atop the movie money-making list for the fourth straight week, pulled in $3.6 million on Friday while pacing towards a weekend total of approximately $16.5 million.
One of the newcomers to theaters across the States, the "Jaws" inspired fright film "Shark Night 3D" followed closely behind with a $3 million first day - which set the David R. Ellis directed offering up for a debut weekend take of $11 million.
Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are two more newcomers in "Apollo 18" ($10.5 million) and Helen Mirren's film "The Debt" ($11.5 million), followed by fifth place finisher, the Zoe Saldana fronted action caper "Colombiana" ($10 million).

In Hollywood, divorces tend to be nasty and public, so it's refreshing to hear a global superstar like Madonna have say something positive to say about not one, but both of former husbands.
The singing sensation, 53, had some surprising praise for her ex-husbands, English filmmaker Guy Ritchie and American actor-director Sean Penn, while promoting W.E., her second turn as writer-director of a feature film. During the press conference for the royal period drama's world premiere at the Venice Film Festival Thursday, Madge told reporters it's no coincidence she married to extremely gifted men.
"I am and was attracted to very creative people, which is why I married Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, two very talented directors," Madonna said, according to the Huffington Post. "They both encouraged me as a director and as a creative person to do what I did, and they were both very supportive."
Considering that Madonna has had a shaky history at the box office -- in addition to notable flop Swept Away, her indie directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, grossed a paltry $22,406 in 2008 -- she clearly needed the support.
W.E. follows two very different romances -- that of former King Edward VIII (James D'Arcy) and American divorcée Wallis Simpson (Andrea Riseborough), and a contemporary relationship between a married woman (Abbie Cornish) and a Russian security guard (Oscar Isaac). According to Madonna, she feels a kinship to Simpson, for whom King Edward VIII abdicated the throne.
"I identified with her in that I think it's very common when people become celebrities or public figures or icons that we are often reduced to a sound bite and that you're given a few attributes and then you're not allowed to have anything more than that," she said.
Although W.E. has received mixed reviews from the festival, the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph critic said it "is rather better than expected; it's bold, confident and not without amusing moments."
