Vanity Fair planned to feature Justin Timberlake on its cover in July, only to shift gears and opt for a candid photo of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
To be fair, the never-before-seen Mario Testino shot of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is adorable. Just look at the royal couple. But no love for JT!
Fortunately, the Timberlake story still appears as a feature inside ...
A VF rep had no comment on the cover change, but a source close to Timberlake says the singer was "very happy with Vanessa's story and Mr. Roy's photos."
Their siblings also appeared on a magazine cover this week, although for no reason we can pinpoint other than Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton being cute.
Not that we're complaining. Contrived tabloid nonsense, perhaps, but at least it's tabloid nonsense about seemingly nice, scandal-free people for a change.
Besides, Kate Middleton pictures and fashion choices are gorgeous.
Not that we're complaining.
